JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Police are investigating why a woman ran from state troopers Thursday
night on Interstate 95.
Police tell First Coast News that an unidentified woman, driving a late-model Chevrolet
pick-up truck, attempted to get away from state troopers. The chase started on Interstate
95 when she spotted a patrol vehicle.
State troopers quickly pursued the truck, following her until she lost control on Norwood
and ended up slamming into a VyStar ATM. She died at the scene.
Police also tell First Coast News there is the possibility that drugs could have been in
the truck.
