Police chase ends in fatal crash

(01/11/04 - NE HARRIS CO.)A driver wanted for an outstanding warrant is killed while trying to getaway from Harris County deputies.

During a traffic stop in northeast Harris County overnight, deputies realized the driver had a warrant for aggravated robbery. As the deputy approached his vehicle to arrest him, he says the suspect drove off.

The deputy followed and later discovered the suspect had crashed into a ditch. He was dead at the scene.
