Internet commerce continues to grow and to take an increasing slice of the retail dollar. While "brick and mortar" stores will continue to take in the vast majority of retail sales there are some areas where online merchants excel. Increasingly most consumers use several of these merchants on a regular basis. For instance, I use Travelocity to book airline tickets and hotel rooms. It is quick, secure and easy to do. Some of you may use Hotwire ,Orbitz or CheapTickets . I often buy gifts online, particularly if the recipient is out of town. I have used Mrs. Fields Cookies and wine.com . I recently purchased a pair of prescription glasses at 39 Dollar Eyeglasses and saved a bundle and I can't tell the difference between them and the $200+ LensCrafters pair they replaced. Who doesn't love to surf the bookstores? My favorite is probably Amazon.com , but Books-A-Million and Barnes & Noble are also a kick. I occasionally use Edmund Scientific to purchase hard to find parts and pieces to some of the projects I get involved in. In fact I enjoy browsing the site to fuel my creative juices. I think Netflix is the neatest thing since sliced bread. We actually bought our first DVD player so that we could take advantage of Netflix. Whenever I buy a new computer (our family is up to 4) I always go to Crucial.com and max my memory-it doesn't get any cheaper and their memory wizard takes all the guess work out it. At my business, at home and for Pursuitwatch I receive all my faxes by email from CallWave, it is a real money saver and it is hassle-free.

I guess what I am trying to say is that many of us use the Internet for purchases or services more than we might imagine. Many of my favorite merchants participate in this PursuitWatch fundraiser and I'll probably switch from some I have made purchases from in the past to those who are so generous to PursuitWatch. Perhaps I will even make a few purchases that I wouldn't ordinarily do. I have found that if you watch for coupons and shipping deals (we are working on a page to keep you up to speed on these) that there are some extraordinary bargains to be found. I might even pay a little more when I consider how important this is to PursuitWatch.
